Black Knight's Flamer 06 Weekend 15th-16th July 2006Following on from the great success of the BK Flamer 04 and Flamer 05, we are pleased to announce that the next BK Flamer event is over the weekend of 15th-16th July 2006 at our Milson flying site. It would help the Flamer organisers to know how many people hope to attend in advance of the event. If you are attending please drop the club an email letting them know numbers of flyers, total number in party, number of tents/caravan pitches. This helps us to gauge how many loos to book - Thanks The Event Team (Blackknights Committee) will be on hand to answer questions or provide assistance throughout the weekend The weekend offers:
You don't have to be a Black Knights member to come and fly, you just need to be a BMFA/UKRA member so every flight will be covered by insurance. ** Due to the heightened state of security in the country would all flyers attending the Flamer please ensure that they bring their paperwork with them (Ex Cert, store cert, RCA and UKRA/BMFA insurance cert). Please Note: 6,000ft ceiling for single recovery Launches to altitudes between 12,000ft and 25,000ft must be by prior arrangement only. We regret that vehicles that are likely to breach 12,000ft ceiling, which have not been arranged before the launch meeting will not be allowed to fly. Because this is an active airstrip, you must comply with Milson traffic control and the RSO's. Currently no air traffic allowed to use the airstrip on Sundays between 2pm and 5pm, all other times by request. If fact last year there was just 1 aircraft taking off/landing. So we do have plenty of slots. Recovering Rockets: When recovering rockets please follow the countryside code Costs
On Arrival There are designated fire points, fire assembly points and a fire marshall. Event Timetable (Proposed) Saturday Sunday
We will have 4 Pota-loos on site, plus the visitors toilet at the airstrip. Apo11o This is because they have agreed to our Vendor Code in writing back in January.
