How the Internet Has Changed Our Lives

We live in the technological age. The internet has made global communication a piece of cake. It is available to the masses as well. It has had a huge impact on how we transact and communicate. Even businesses are now being forced to compete on an even playing field. But the big question here is whether we have no become too dependent on technology.

The answer to this question is a more complicated than a simple yes or no. We use technology for making informed choices in a number of different fields today. When you look at whether it has helped society generally though the answer is both yes and no. That’s because the internet can be used both for good and for evil. Technology is always going to be a tool which is meant to help man. But it is up to man to decide what he does with it. The internet had initially been meant to be nothing more than a means of detonating bombs or launching missiles when telephone lines were down. But it has managed to become much more than that today.

It is now a global library, an instant post office, a communication tool and a buying station as well. There are people who use it for all the wrong reasons too but that is something which just can’t be avoided. As is the case with everything in the world, with the good there will also be bad. All we can do is ignore the bad and enjoy the good.

There’s no denying that the internet has made our lives much more comfortable. Let’s hope that it continues to do so in the future as well. A world without the internet would not have been able to progress at the speed with which it has in recent times.
