Friday

Arrived about 11:00AM Friday to find a near empty camping plot, so I got my tent up quickly and set off in the direction of Hanger 18 where I found Ray and Mal (who both arrived on Thursday).
Got chatting and the workshop soon filled up.
It was too windy to fly anything so everyone just kept on talking till the early hours.

Saturday

Up around 8pm, and off for breakfast at Burger Bill's. Flyers briefing at 10:30AM, and then off up to the launch site with Mel. We were on the first stint of RSO's on the Model Pads. Flights were slow to start with but soon we were RSO'ing loads. After 3 hours of RSO'ing we gave up the reins and I went off to help Ray with his L2 flight. After several delays Ray finally got it up on a 5 grain Pro38 and all went well, chute popped out and it came down in the field near the lane back to the farm buildings, so Ray and I packed up his pad and drove back to collect the AMRAAM from the field and then headed back to Burger Bill's for a coffee and a rest.
You could hear all the flights going off, but you have just got to love those Hypertek's. They sound great.
Also when watching from back at the farm, the launch site was about a mile away, so you really got a good perspective view of them all going up with out the usual neck jerking movement.
Well back into the workshop and then UKRA had their AGM (keep your hands down!!) then we all drank beer, apart from Mel who for some reason drank wine, but then proceeded to spill a whole glass over his trousers (most people thought the stain was from Mel's mixing of new fuel grain for his micro-hybrid). About 10pm the firework display went off and then more drinking till the early hours, when I went to bed around 1AM and left the "Recycling argument" going on.

Sunday

The weather was bad first thing, so I packed my stuff and left around 10:30AM after first giving all my money to Pete after visiting his shop!!

Regards,

Sean
