Saturday

Liz was unfortunately out of the country on business on the Friday of UKRA 2002 and did not arrive back home until very late on. So by the time we got ourselves sorted out on Saturday it was late afternoon. We arrived to be told that it had been great flying weather! So we found a hotel much to Buster's delight (only the second time he has stayed in a hotel) and went off and got a curry and a few bears.

Sunday

At the Sunday flyers briefing the call went up for volunteers so I volunteered for model RSO and Liz for Announcer. The weather was not particularly kind and the No's of flights were not large but there was plenty of enthusiasm. around 15.00 the weather took a turn for the worse and we all headed back to Hangar 18 where the raffle was to be drawn. The draw for the raffle started and whose ticket should be pulled out early on but Buster Perman. Liz went up to pick up Buster's prize (Vouchers for 50 Euro's from Rebel Rocketry, thanks guys) and draw the next ticket. Liz pulled the ticket and the name on the back was Buster Perman (This time a 54mm Motor retainer courtesy of Petes Rockets thanks Pete). We could not believe our luck. Anyway a short while later Busters name was called again this time for some PML vouchers (Apologies did not catch the donors name but who ever it was thanks will put them to good use) Right at the end yes you guessed it Busters name was called again but this time he was disqualified as being a dog he cant read, so the poster he would have won would have been of little use to him. Liz and I could not believe Busters luck so in future all raffle tickets will be bought in his name. Now if we can only think of a way of getting him to buy Lottery tickets!
