Saturday
I got to Heckington on the Saturday morning about 10.30 loaded to the top as normal. The first person I saw was Ray he said that we are on the last 4 tables at the top of hanger18. So in I went, what an eye opener people, rockets, boxes, and one very large rocket on a pad. Ray pointed out Mel, Alex, Malcolm and Andrew, in the top right corner of the hanger. So I booked in for the weekend 15 pounds, then had a look a Petes shop and went back to the hanger got my Asda chair out, sat down and had a chat to Malcolm, Alex ,Mel and co about the day. My self and Andrew walked up the flying site with his G force all prepped up and ready to go. We got to the launch site and I was amazed at what I saw a row of H.P.R. rockets. I watched the first rack go off and that was it for me I did not move till the last rocket went up and by that time it was to late for me to prep my rockets. So Malcolm and I went in to town to get film and some beer for the night. The word come round that at 22 00 there was going to be fireworks and a rocket that was made in 1 hour by a man named Ziggi (I think) with bits from all who were there or not, the night went well. We managed to get some Cider in, I think his name was Rob, he was going on about the bloody loud snorers and who they was and which tent. Sadly at this point I went off to bed myself.
Saturday
In the morning I myself was told that I was one of the 3 tents (how do you put this) on the good kicking list of RICHARD PARKIN. Me never I am a very good snorer and I only do it when I am asleep so keep clear next time!
All the best,
Alan Meredith
